In order to remain competitive Grant Wharington and Chief Designer Don Jones are constantly reviewing and changing the configuration of the Supermaxi. The current yacht is the forth iteration of the original yacht launched in 2003.

November 2007 to date
To increase performance and wetted surface area with minimal difference to righting moment the keel fin weight has been reduced from 4.0 to 2.9 tonnes and the bulb to 11.7 tonnes.
